A few years ago I went on Weight Watchers and it took control of me. I would flip out if I went one or two points over the limit. I was constantly calculating points in my head. It took all the joy out of eating. For my height and weight, I was allowed 18-23 points a day with an extra 35 a week. But I added it up one day and realized I was only getting about 1000 calories. PuppyPup92 on August 24, 2010 at 2:48 am @crazy0rockstar She means she craved the attention in the form of being taken cared of & nurtured. Many people with ED’s crave this, it can be from childhood neglect/abuse. It’s extremely common & it does not mean she craved attention as in “oh look at me I’m dying!”, she means she wants to be looked after, nurtured and cared for. alyson32590 on August 24, 2010 at 3:35 am i know tracy…i’ve been in treatment with her karlkarlkarl1234 on August 24, 2010 at 4:26 am That Heather is still screwed in the head. crazy0rockstar on August 24, 2010 at 4:56 am The old woman admitts that she does it on purpose and she’s blaming her family for it. From what I can tell she is in no way selfless. If this show is trying to educate people and convince people that eating disorders are disorders and show they can’t stop they should not have put someone on it that is telling us she is anorexic simply because if she is not anorexic then no one would schedule their life around her. mindsjourney on August 24, 2010 at 5:10 am @guitarlovenjc not necessarily. i happen to know that she did not get it while in active recovery at all. so no, not a recovery tat. mindsjourney on August 24, 2010 at 5:29 am @Ayatron34 i disagree. disordered eating and extreme dieting might be, but full blown eating disorders are about so much more. i would even say that for most people they are not about impressing people at all… HaleyhfAFFT on August 24, 2010 at 5:48 am I almost died from anorexia. My brain even started shutting down to the point that I didn’t know how I was anymore or how to even feed or bathe myself. My crazy story of miracles is written in the book A Future for Tomorrow. I would love to share it with you.go to afuturefortomorrow. com SourLemonEater on August 24, 2010 at 6:30 am I hate it when my mom or friends try talking to me about my ED. It was my secret but at the same time I felt it was my own special thing that no one could take away from me. Now Im onstantly afraid of getting throat cancer or my heart stopping. greatjassy84 on August 24, 2010 at 6:48 am @nicolegreg84 same here Nicole! 6676plentybody on August 24, 2010 at 7:28 am @Ayatron34 Ayatron34 is short and is fat, and the face is very very ugly , and it is a worst BLACK ! ! blazerrips91 on August 24, 2010 at 8:21 am @6676plentybody and your a homophobic racist you make no sense my guess is your highly uneducated and ignorant do you realize how stupid you sound i hope your kind die out within the next thousend years because your a waste of fucking atoms 6676plentybody on August 24, 2010 at 8:39 am Ayatron34 is a faggoty ugly African BLACK ! ! This crap is homosexsual. mollydasiy7 on August 24, 2010 at 9:06 am My brother in law died of cancer and he never smoked in his life. Ayatron34 on August 24, 2010 at 9:11 am @ncfwhitetigress I agree with you completely. I’m a man and I can tell you that an ultra thin girl isnt that much more attractive than a super muscly steroid woman – ie not at all. For most men it’s this simple: The more fertile and capable of having children a woman looks, the more a man will be drawn to her. Males are mentally hardwired to be repulsed by the body shape and conditioning that caused the females’ period to stop Be it too muscly or too thin. It’s evolution. Ayatron34 on August 24, 2010 at 9:43 am I think eating disorders are about women trying to impress other women as opposed to men. Like a hierarchy within the female gender of the thinner you are the more elevated your status. Despite the fact that girls like kate moss’ bodies makes guy’s want to puke. guitarlovenjc on August 24, 2010 at 10:41 am Right, which one would think she got it to support her own recovery. By the way, happy NEDAW!! mindsjourney on August 24, 2010 at 11:13 am not a recovery tat, it is the symbol for eating disorder awareness. selenesarah17 on August 24, 2010 at 11:59 am Oh I thought slender was a bit ‘fatter’ than skinny. I didn’t know that. Well english is not my native language so sometimes I confuse some terms. 😛 horn36 on August 24, 2010 at 12:46 pm i blame the media and what the society sets as the “norm”.. -_- ncfwhitetigress on August 24, 2010 at 1:32 pm I think slender is a more specific term than thin and it means to be thin in an attractive way. Thin can be attractive or unattractive. mrsgreen28 on August 24, 2010 at 1:48 pm i feel bad for them. what they are doing is making them 10 years older than they really are. selenesarah17 on August 24, 2010 at 1:51 pm Isn’t slender thinner than thin?:P For me a slender person is someone who’s 1.70 cm and 50 kg for example. ncfwhitetigress on August 24, 2010 at 2:25 pm How do you define slender? I was thinking curvy and thin were opposites, not curvy and slender. Submit a Comment Cancel reply Your email address will not be published.
