What I remember about my trip to South Beach

So I'm off to South Beach Miami tomorrow am. (I'll tell you why tomorrow). Want to know what I remember MOST about my last trip to South Beach?The outrageous prices! Check it out: 1. $38 for 2 Cuban drinks called a Mojito (very good by the way) 2. $36 for a burger and fries by the hotel pool bar! 3. $150 for a steak and lobster dinner on Ocean Drive! Why am I mentioning this? Because it reminded me of a powerful lesson my buddy and I discovered while there... Obviously we wanted to squeeze in a few workouts so we hit the Crunch Fitness (on Washington Ave) for a day pass (which would really just be a 45-minute workout getting the "beach muscles" pumped up. Take a guess of how much a day pass is in South Beach? $35 !!! We both cracked up laughing and were about to walk out when I said: "Dude... we spent the same amount on BURGERS and DRINKS! We're not going to spend $35 on a WORKOUT? Something that is actually healthy and beneficial for our bodies?!" We forked over our $35 and hit the gym hard! Best $35 I spent in South Beach! LOL So what's the point of this message? Don't EVER let money hold you back from doing something GOOD for your body. You will NEVER regret it. (Unless you wasted your money on some unhealthy supplement or silly workout gizmo or another "fad diet"). The only time you'll regret investing in your body is if you do NOT take action and use the info you purchased. For example, if I spent that $35 on a day pass and all I did was socialize in the gym - I would regret that. But I didn't - I reved up my metabolism, burned a load of calories and primed my muscles for another steak and lobster dinner!
